Building Stronger Ties of Trust with the Local Community

Management Philosophy

The Bank has long followed the management philosophy of working to build ties of trust with the local community so as to contribute to the development of the regional society@and economy. To continue putting this philosophy into practice in the future, Bank of the Ryukyus and its group will exert their full efforts to enhance the range and quality of services offered, and at the same time to establish sound management practices that will enable us to cope with any change in the business environment. By so doing, we aim to meet the needs of the local community.

Corporate Culture

In 1986, the Bank followed a proactive approach to corporate culture by drawing up rules of behavior for its staff based on the Bankfs Code of Ethics. This code stresses the importance of a customer-focused approach to the banking business; linking compensation with performance; and a corporate culture that encourages the free discussion among staffs and managers. The code aims to establish a new set of common values for Bank and its staff.

Under the banner of these common values, Bank of the Ryukyus is marching confidently into the future, in which we are sure that the full potential of all our staff will be realized.
